Fire crews were called out to two incidents of people getting stuck in York early this morning (Wednesday).
At 12.05am, firefighters were called to Walmgate to help a person with their hand stuck in a pull down window frame.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The person lived at the property and was unable to free their hand.
“On arrival of the fire service the person had just managed to rescue themselves. No further assistance was required.”
Then at 12.42am, York crews went to help a student that had got stuck in a bathroom of their house due to the door handle coming off inside.
The spokesperson said: “Crews gained access to property via the first floor window using a ladder and released student from bathroom by opening the door from the outside.”
