A York estate agent has put a haunted house on the market for a Halloween-inspired charity fundraiser.
Preston Baker, whose head office is on Walmgate, sells property across Yorkshire – a region renowned for its ghosts. And now it has teamed up with Mosborough Hall Hotel near Sheffield to raise money for the Make a Dream children’s charity.
There are lots of ghostly tales involving the 750-year-old hotel. Both a ‘white lady’ and spectral dog have been seen by staff and visitors. Other incidents include pint glasses being thrown and radios being turned off.
This campaign will see Preston Baker donate £2 to the charity – that makes ‘dreams come true’ for terminally ill children across Yorkshire – every time a visitor ‘Requests a Viewing’ to the haunted house on the Preston Baker website here.
Visitors will also be entered into a competition draw to win a prize courtesy of Vine Hotels and Mosborough Hall Hotel.
The prize is an overnight stay at the hotel for two with dinner, breakfast and a champagne afternoon tea on arrival.
