Run for festive fun at the York Designer Outlet – and all for a good cause!
Get ready to celebrate the festive season with this Christmassy challenge that’s fun for all the family, with a run around the Outlet, live entertainment and festive snow party.
The charity Elf Run will take place at York Designer Outlet on Sunday 8 December. It will be raising money for York charity, St Leonard’s Hospice.
The Elf Run is being hosted by YorkMix!The event will open from 8:30am in front of the North Entrance at the Outlet, where you can check in for the challenge and pick up your free elf hat.
The event will kick off with a fun warm up session led by Thomas Clubbercise and YorkMix, followed by a festive snow party, glitter face-painting, and lots of entertainment. Santa himself may even be joining in to cheer you on as you begin your run!
The route will be clearly marked, and is 1km per lap – you can run as many laps as you like. Why not challenge yourself to complete 5km (5 laps) or 10km (10 laps)?
All runners will receive certificates at the end.
Water and sweets will be provided at the finish line, and each participant will receive a voucher for a free hot drink and pastry to enjoy after the run.
Participants will also get a discount on ice skating tickets for Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland at the Designer Outlet.
And once you’ve finished your festive run, there’s the chance to do some Christmas shopping inside the Outlet itself.
A registration pack with further details will be sent upon sign-up.
Collecting sponsorship for your run is encouraged – no matter how small, every contribution makes a difference.
