For many of us this will be welcome news after spending months solely having a shopping splurge online…
In line with the Government’s latest advice, McArthurGlen York Designer Outlet has revealed its reopening plans for Monday (12 April).
Initially the centre will reopen with restricted customer capacities and its normal opening hours: 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 8pm on Saturdays. Sunday opening hours will be 10am to 6pm.
Many of the outlet’s food and drink partners, including Wagamama, Pret and Starbucks will also reopen from 12 April offering takeaway-only services. Food and drink cannot be consumed inside the centre, but additional outdoor seating is available in the centre gardens.
Brands including Paul Smith, Kate Spade, Molton Brown, Nike, JOSEPH and Rituals are also due to reopen.

Ahead of the reopening, McArthurGlen York Designer Outlet are continuing their strict health and safety protocols to ensure customer safety, including increased cleaning of high touch point areas, cleaning in toilets every 30 minutes, and available hand sanitisers in common areas.
There will also be clear markers outside of all stores to make sure that social distancing is adhered to at all times, with a queue management and one-way systems in place.
“We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that the centre is ready for reopening,” says Paul Tyler, centre manager. “The health and safety of our guests and staff is paramount – we pride ourselves in going above and beyond to ensure our customers visit is a safe and enjoyable one.”
