A college will be closed tomorrow due to problems with its water supply.
The York campus of Askham Bryan College is shut all day on Tuesday (9 January).
Its other learning centres will be open as usual.
No college buses to the York campus will run tomorrow.
In a statement issued this afternoon, the college said: “Due to an issue with water supply at the York Campus, the campus will be closed on Tuesday.
“We are hoping to reopen the York Campus on Wednesday 10th January 2024. A further update will be issued on Tuesday 9th January at midday.
“Please be assured that all animals and livestock have an emergency water supply and their health and welfare is unaffected.

“Thank you for your understanding as we resolve this issue.”
Students went back to college after the Christmas holidays for the first time today.
Student residents were asked to leave the site by 6pm, when the residential blocks were set to close.
Responding to a concerned parent who asked why students were in today with no water, it said: “The issue has occurred over the course of today. Students will be picked up by the buses shortly.”
YorkMix has asked the college for more details about the problem with the water supply and will post any updates here.
