Those magnificent Minstermen have made it all the way to the playoff final.
A fantastic 1-0 win at Brackley Town – secured with goal by Lenell John-Lewis and a huge penalty save by City keeper Pete Jameson – sent York City into the final next Saturday.
They will play the winner’s of today’s second semi final between AFC Fylde and Boston United.
And if Boston overturn the form book and win, it would mean City will host the final at the LNER Community Stadium as the higher seeded team.
The remarkable efforts of the current City squad, marshalled so ably by the management duo of John Askey and Kingsley James, have sent fans into raptures.
