Soccer AM’s Frankie Fryer visits Bootham Crescent during a previous series
Calling all York City fans – fancy being on national TV?
Legendary Saturday morning football show Soccer AM is after eight City supporters for its show on March 7.
The anarchic Sky show, which has been many fans’ first call on a Saturday since it began broadcasting in 1995, always boasts a few fans in full kit.
They belt out club songs in the “Luther Blissett Stand” – in reality a corner of the studio near the presenters’ sofas – during the two-hour show.
“The fans play a key role on the show as they provide the atmosphere in the studio as well as a bit of banter,” say producers.

How to take part
If you fancy joining presenters Helen Chamberlain and Max Rushden, a host of football star guests, interviewer Tubes and the rest of the gang, it’s fairly straightforward.
Just head over to the Soccer AM Fans Appeal page, copy and fill in the questionnaire and send it in.
The successful fans will have their train travel and overnight hotel stay paid for by the show.
And it’s been timed to nicely coincide with City’s away trip to AFC Wimbledon.
Those selected must
- have match tickets for the game
- bring full York City 2014/15 kit
- provide two extra shirts for the wall from any season
- bring along ID.
Good luck and – play up City!!
