Christmas at Treasurer’s House
Discover beautiful and unique decorations and twinkling lights as we share stories of Frank Green’s travels this Christmastime at Treasurer’s House.
Expect the unexpected this Christmas as the stories found in Frank Green’s travel journals take centre stage. His far flung, and at times far fetched, tales are the inspiration for a truly unique Christmas offer.
Inside the period rooms, 1920s design elements will mingle with modern touches to create a timeless Christmas and you’re invited to wander at your own pace, making memories as you explore. Many of the decorations are hand made by the talented team of volunteers who decorate the house. This season promises to be the biggest Christmas yet.

Christmas at Murton Park
Christmas at Murton Park is back with a bang this year and for the first time, there’s two experiences to choose from! First up is Christmas at Murton Park, an enchanting experience with Santa and a train ride with Mother Christmas.
You’ll get to explore Santa’s village and meet Santa himself in the Long House (along with other boys and girls) with the chance to tell him what’s on your list this year – he’ll even give them some special money to spend in the toy shop! There’ll also be Christmas crafts, make your own reindeer food and there’s a free mince pie for adults.
This year, Murton Park have introduced a new experience Tea with Santa, where you’ll enjoy a one-to-one with the big man himself and a delicious one-course meal from The Yorkshire Barn Café.
The whole experience will last two hours and includes ameet and greet with Santa, a delicious freshly prepared one-course meal and drink, crafts and colouring for each child, an early Christmas present for each child, and you’ll also get to meet Mother Christmas and one of Santa’s cheeky elves.
Whichever experience you choose, we promise a truly magical experience for the whole family to enjoy!

Love Actually in Concert

The York Early Music Christmas Festival
The York Early Music Christmas Festival was created in 1997 to introduce audiences to the extraordinary wealth of music associated with Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, from the Medieval to the Baroque, intertwined with the sagas, stories and tales of the north. The 2023 Festival will open with Gesualdo Six and Fretwork presenting their ‘Secret Byrd’ and closing with YBS performing Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. Join York Minster’s worship to mark the start of Advent with an atmospheric and breath-taking candlelit service of music, readings and prayers for Advent, in celebration and anticipation of the arrival of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.
