Charity organisation Good Neighbours UK are holding a fundraising concert for Ukraine – featuring local talent.
The charity’s monthly live music series ‘Good Neighbours Live’ aims to give a platform for York musicians, artists and creatives as well as bringing the York community together to raise funds for the work Good Neighbours UK support around the world and in the UK.
After the success of their first Good Neighbours Live Ukraine Fundraiser in April, they are presenting another fundraising concert for the Ukraine Emergency Appeal on Friday 6 May at 7pm.
The May concert will feature choirs the Stonegate Singers and Some Voices, local rock bands Nova and Anthea Drive, and community big band Bargestra.
It will take place at Tang Hall Working Men’s Club.
The Good Neighbours Emergency Response Team are currently on the ground in Ukraine – and so far have worked with local partners to distribute more than 15 tonnes of food to support nearly 10,000 people in Reni, Odessa.
