York bar to reopen after £250K makeover with bubbly and a diamond giveaway
They’ve spent £250K in three weeks transforming it. So the owners of York bar The Slug And Lettuce have every right to throw a party to celebrate its reopening.
The Swinegate venue throws open its doors again on Saturday (May 23) to show off its new look.
But the official launch party weekend starts on the following Friday, May 29. There’s a VIP reception at 5pm with fizz and canapés. Then everyone can come and join in the fun from 7pm.
Bartenders will be giving cocktail masterclasses and tasters. And during the evening general manager Laura McMahon will give away a diamond worth £500 to one lucky customer.
Among the new cocktails being launched are three with the intriguing names Peanut Butter, Jelly Martini and the Moscow Mule.
Local cask ales and craft beers join cocktails and wine on the drinks menu.
