More glamour, more sophistication and a cocktail masterclass station – what we’re promised when a city centre bar reopens after a major refurb on Friday (September 30).
The Slug And Lettuce riverside venue on Low Ousegate has had £380K lavished on it ahead of the relaunch, which is also creating ten new jobs.
Owners the Stonegate Pub Company say the venue has been transformed. The interior has been “reinvented” with a brand new purpose-built cocktail masterclass station and private hire space added.
A new menu includes superfood salads, noodle boxes and Asian platters. Also added is a healthy children’s menu and bigger cocktail list which includes classic Cosmopolitans and Pornstar Martinis to the unique flavour of a Flat White Martini.
Opening hours will be 10am-midnight Sunday to Thursday, and 10am–2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Bar general manager Jo Wray said: “We can’t wait to welcome our customers back to the venue and hear what they think about our refurb.”
An opening party will take place on Friday, October 7, with deals on cocktails and a chance to win a holiday.
