Wands have been raised and spells have been cast to create a new hole and several additions for wizards to enjoy at The Hole in Wand, Coppergate.

The award-winning mini golf, which opened in May 2021 and has been called ‘York’s most magical attraction’, has undergone a transformation including new holes and an upgraded tavern area.

The new hole ‘The Forest Awakens’

The main change is the creation of a brand new hole, The Forest Awakens, based on the popular Dalby Forest.

To help create the immersive experience a new scent has been added to the room and a specific soundtrack created.

The hole sees the wizards amongst the trees as they aim for a hole in one – looked on by magical creatures, including a unicorn, from the darkened and mythical forest.

Hole seven has also had a revamp – with a different entrance and hole to aim for.

Oliver Brayshaw, Chief Wizard said: “We are excited to reveal the new holes at the venue, we know that our visitors are really going to enjoy them.

Both hole six and seven are quite eerie but great fun. We have designed and built the holes and upgraded the tavern with the visitor journey in mind to ensure that everyone that visits have a fantastic experience.”

Tickets are now on sale. Click here for more details.
