Things to do

People of all ages and from all planets queued up in the sunshine to meet Doctors, Daleks and colourful characters from across the galaxy.

This was York Unleashed, the third comic con of its kind and the biggest and best yet.

There was a chance to meet the fifth Doctor, Peter Davison, as well as Grand Maester Pycelle from Game Of Thrones – otherwise known as the distinguished actor Julian Glover.

Star Wars fans could pose in Luke’s Landspeeder, Chewbacca, or with Jabba The Hut, while the trade in every kind of fantasy merchandise was brisk.

Daleks and Stormtroopers were showing their softer side, collecting for charity.

And there was the ‘geekiest conga line ever’. It was epic. Roll on Unleashed IV!
