Work has now started to refurbish the iconic halfpipe feature at the Norton and Malton Skatepark.
Once done it will be the final finishing touch to the park which has been transformed after a campaign to save it.
The giant ramp will be a huge draw for fans of skateboarding.

Skateboarder and Entertainer, Ryan Swain, who led the campaign to save the park, says he will be working with King Ramps, skatepark designers, to clean up the frame and the metal work. Then they will then resurface it.
He says it will take the skatepark to new heights as it will be a ‘must visit’ location for skateboarders across the UK and the world.
