Police are hunting a man who assaulted two women in a York pub.
The incident happened in the car park of the Quakerwood pub, Woodthorpe, at 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday).
A man punched a woman which knocked her to the ground. He then pushed a woman who was coming to the aid of the other woman.
The man then left.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “One of the women suffered bruising to her face, and was taken by ambulance to York Hospital where she was treated and later discharged.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for information from any witnesses.”
The man is described as
- white
- in his mid-30s
- wearing a black T-shirt
- and grey jogging bottoms.
He was drinking inside the pub before the incident.
