Woman suffers spinal injuries in two-car crash

A woman was hurt in a two-car crash west of York.

It happened in Green Hammerton at 8.20pm last night (Sunday). A Mini Cooper and a Vauxhall were in collision.

Police, fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene. Everyone was out of the cars when emergency services arrived.

One woman was taken to hospital suffering from a spinal injury. Fire crews from Acomb and Knaresborough assisted with initial first aid, and made the vehicles safe.
