A woman was hurt after a robber tried to snatch her handbag on the street.
It happened when the victim was walking from Bede Avenue onto Crichton Avenue in York at around 8pm on 17 April.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted robbery that occurred in York.
She noticed a young man on a red bike coming towards her on the footpath.
As the man got closer to her he took hold of her handbag, which was being carried across her body, and demanded that she gave him it. This caused an injury to her neck.
The suspect is described as
- a white male
- around 21-22 years old
- about 5ft 7in tall
- of medium build
- scruffy looking
- with mousey brown hair.
He was wearing a dark grey tracksuit and was riding a red mountain bike.
