A woman has been rescued from a bridge in York.
Emergency services were called to the bridge at Water End at 12.29am today (Wednesday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a female stood on the wrong side of bridge railings.
“Crews liaised with police and stood by whilst the female was brought to the right side of the bridge and left in the care of ambulance crews.”
