A woman was rescued from the river in York in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Emergency services were called out at 4.10am.
The woman was in the Queen’s Staith area of the Ouse.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service incident report said: “Crews from Acomb, York, Huntington, Richmond, Ripon, Malton and Selby responded to reports of a female in the water.
“Crews used a reach pole to assist the female. The female self rescued and was left in the care of the ambulance service.”
The York Rescue Boat was also involved. The team said they were: “Called out by North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Services to reports of a person in difficulty in the River Ouse near Kings Staith.
