A woman has been rescued from the river in York and taken to hospital.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of someone in the River Foss at 11.37am on Monday (2 September).
Police and fire crews, York Rescue Boat, paramedics and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were called to the incident close to Huntington Road and the Monkgate roundabout.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said:

Hayleys Terrace and Huntington Road were closed to allow them to attend.
The woman has been pulled from the water and taken by land ambulance to York Hospital – there is no information at the moment on her condition.
The road has been reopened at the bridge.
One witness told YorkMix: “The air ambulance landed in the grounds of Park Grove Primary School.
“There were two ambulances, three or four police vehicles, and fire engines.
“They were concentrating on the strip of green grass close to the River Foss.”
