A woman had to go to hospital after she was bitten by a dog in York.
It happened on Thursday (10 April) on the cycle / walking track behind York Sport Cycle Village, heading in the direction of Low Lane.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This incident resulted in a woman being bitten by a dog which pierced the skin, leading to the woman attending hospital for antibiotics and tetanus vaccinations.

“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help identify the owner of the dog so that he can be asked about the incident.”
The man is described as
- white
- slim
- between 5ft 10 and 6ft tall
- with a shaved head.
He was wearing a dark coloured padded jacket at the time of the incident.
The dog was on a lead at the time, and has been described as a large grey/brown cockerpoo type breed.
