Police are hunting a teenage boy who hit a woman in her 70s after scratching her car outside a York supermarket.
The incident happened in the car park outside Aldi on Fulford Road between 9am and 9.10am on Friday (17 February).
The woman saw the teenager scratch her car with his bike when he went past, and challenged him about it.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It is alleged that the youth has hit out at the woman who was left with a nasty bruise and swelling to the top left-hand side of her chest.”
The boy is described as
- about 13
- around 5ft tall
- with a thin, wiry build
- wearing a maroon hooded top with the hood up.
He was generally described as “scruffy”. And his bike looked too small for him.
It is believed he was with two other youths, but the victim was unable to provide a description.
