Woman hurt in crash on A64 at York

A woman has been taken to hospital after an accident on the A64.

The collision happened on the westbound carriageway of the road at Fulford at about 4pm on Sunday (July 26).

Fire crews from Acomb and Huntington went to the crash. One casualty had been released when they arrived but a woman passenger was trapped in the back of the car.

She was released by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment.

The woman was taken to hospital with a possible neck injury.
