Woman holding child assaults member of staff at York museum

A woman assaulted a member of staff at the York Castle Museum.

Police are appealing for information about the suspect. She is described as having brown hair tied back and was wearing dark-coloured clothing and holding a young child.

It happened on Saturday 15 December 2018 at 12.40pm. Despite an investigation taking place, police have not been able to locate the suspect.


Officers are now requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
