As emergency callouts go, it is not one that could be described as life threatening.
But it sounds uncomfortable nonetheless.
A woman got stuck by the finger in a York toilet early this morning.
Happily, firefighters were able to come to the rescue.
An Acomb crew were called to the premises on Clifford Street at 12.36am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Acomb crews responded to a female with a finger stuck in the push mechanism of a toilet.
“Crews released her unharmed using small tools.”
