Woman cut free after two-vehicle crash north of York

A woman has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash near Easingwold.

Emergency services were called to the A19 at Alne at 12.24pm today (Tuesday).

Fire crews from Acomb and Huntington were sent to the incident.

They found one female casualty medically trapped in one of the vehicles.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews stabilised and made both vehicles safe before using e-draulic cutting gear to assist in extricating the casualty.

“The female casualty was transported to hospital via road ambulance suffering neck pain.”
