Woman arrested after teatime attack on York street

A woman has been arrested after a street attack left another woman in hospital.

The incident happened on Ostman Road, Acomb, at about 6pm on Sunday, 2 April.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the assault which involved at least two women and two men.

A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries, and was subsequently discharged.

Another woman has since been arrested and is on police bail as enquiries continue.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
