The Malton Food Lovers Festival will return to the town for an extended a three-day festival this summer.
The festival will run from 28-30 August 2021 – restrictions allowing – following its cancellation in 2020 during the national lockdown.
The 2021 Malton Food Lovers Festival is set to be the biggest yet. Visit Malton will also blend in the Harvest Food Festival, which previously took place in September.
And these events will also coincide with ‘Beertown’ – Malton’s craft beer celebration – to create one show-stopping event for all things food and drink.
Food and drink aficionados will be able to savour produce from hundreds of independent and artisan producers.
There will be a producers’ market with street food from around the globe, talks, tastings and demonstrations from the country’s culinary talent, live music and family entertainment.
Celebrating Yorkshire
Director of Visit Malton Tom Naylor-Leyland says: “It’s been a challenging time for everyone this past year, so we’re thrilled to be hosting the 2021 Malton Food Lovers Festival in August.
“We’ve had to move the date from our traditional Spring Bank Holiday weekend because of the ongoing lockdown but we’re working to ensure the event will be as safe as possible, even after the lockdown measures are lifted.”
The Food Lovers Festival is free, and there will be a free shuttle bus service too – along with disabled parking is available.
Tom added: “It’s a celebration of good food, top quality produce and most of all, the very best of Yorkshire. We can’t wait for visitors to come along and see everything Malton has to offer!”
