A TV crew were filming at a York garage today.
The hit TV show Bangers and Cash, which finds classic and rare cars for buyers, were filming at used-car specialists Dyrdal’s Garage in Fulford today.
The garage was chosen by the show as they are the only garage in the York area to employ a Volvo master technician, Howard Cram.

Howard, previously the UK’s number one Volvo technician, was approached by Bangers and Cash to fix their vintage Volvo 144 model saloon.
Howard said, “I had a call from the TV company asking me if I would diagnose the issues behind the car not running and conduct the repairs, and be filmed doing it.
“I was thrilled to be asked as the Volvo 144 was one of the first cars I worked on as an apprentice in the 1980s.”
The crew were filming at Dyrdal’s Garage all day and are set to return throughout the restoration of the Volvo 144. Once the restoration is complete, the car will be sold at auction for the TV show which will air next year.
Julia Dyrdal, partner in the business, said, “We were thrilled to welcome the Bangers and Cash team and had great fun starting work on the car with the crew.”
Dyrdal’s Garage has been on Hospital Fields Road in Fulford since 1979 and specialises in the sales and repairs of Volvos and other used cars.
