The American fast-food chain Wendy’s is coming to Whitby – and an opening date has now been announced.
It was revealed on X that the new Wendy’s location will be opening in Whitby on Tuesday 30 July.
The popular restaurant chain is known for their square beef patties and Frosty frozen desserts.
It will open at 79 Baxtergate, Whitby, which was previously home to Papa’s Fish and Chips.
Wendy’s was founded by Dave Thomas in 1969, with the first restaurant opening in Columbus, Ohio. With the Whitby opening, there will be 31 Wendy’s locations around the UK.
The menu at Wendy’s includes burgers – with the unique square-shaped patty, breakfast sandwiches, chicken nuggets, wraps, salads, veggie options, and of course the signature Frosty – a frozen dairy dessert that is midway between ice cream and a milkshake.
