Well-known York singer hits the high notes on BBC quiz show

A York singer best known for his Elvis impersonations is on TV today (Monday).

Eddie Vee is on The Tournament, in which “Eight contestants compete in a series of fast-paced quiz battles in an attempt to eliminate their opponents from the day’s game and walk away with a cash prize.”

It is hosted by Alex Scott.

While he can’t tell us how he got on, Eddie can say he is on the show on BBC One today and tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday, at 2.15pm.

He told YorkMix: “It was great fun. We filmed in Glasgow right next to where the Cop 26 climate conference just took place.

“It was great to meet Alex Scott who was very friendly.”

He got the chance to sing as well. “I did snippets of a few songs including Wonder Of You but I don’t know which ones survived the edit.”
