After a lovely sunny weekend, the rain gods are preparing to smite us again.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain which covers the North of England, including the whole of York and North Yorkshire.
The warning runs from 12.15am tomorrow (Wednesday, 22 May) to 6am on Thursday.
The Met Office says: “Heavy rain may cause some flooding and disruption to travel.”
They say there could be flash flooding, heavy spray creating difficult driving conditions, and possible delays to train and bus services.
In York tomorrow, the humidity will range from 88% to 95%, with a top temperature of 15°C.
The bank holiday weekend is forecast to start well. Saturday will be dry with sunny intervals, but the rain is predicted to return for Sunday and Monday.
