Watch: York man is left speechless after being told he’s won a £30K car

When Andrew Keighley heard the knock on his door in York, he had no idea what was coming.

Because his visitor was Christian Williams, from BOTB – and he was there to hand over the keys to a brand new Toyota GR Yaris.

Andrew had won the £30,000 car after buying the winning ticket in the weekly draw for just 75p.

Andrew’s son Thomas was in on the secret – but the surprise was a complete success when Andrew first laid eyes upon his new dream hot hatch.

“I’m shaking!” Andrew said when he realised what was happening. “I’m speechless.

“I never imagined it would happen.”

Thomas said: “I was so excited for dad. I couldn’t wait.”

BOTB (Best of the Best plc) has been running competitions since 1999, and has given away more than £37m worth of cars.

Dad of two Andrew, who has recently retired, has played BOTB for more than ten years and so has his son, Thomas, 28.
