A York designer has gone that extra mile to show his admiration for the Queen ahead of her jubilee.
He’s turned his front door into a giant Union flag.
Jack D March first revealed the patriotic transformation on his Instagram.
“I had a red door and it was always my intention to paint it,” the interior designer said.
“I have massive respect for the Queen and the royal family so I thought it would be a fitting tribute to her 70 years.”
A whole series of events are planned to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with a special bank holiday weekend running from 2-5 June.
Jack is known on his street for doing different door themes for different seasons – for Christmas last year he did a candy cane display and archway.
The decorative display has been receiving a lot of love on social media – and people have even been posting notes through the door!
“I’ve been absolutely blown away by the reception,” said Jack. “I think everybody after the last two years is just really ready for a celebration and positive news.”

Jack painted it all himself, using masking tape to shape the design. He used spray paint for the blue and then hand-painted the white with gloss – the whole process took around four and a half hours.
“Let’s face it, it’s nothing compared to the 70 years of work the Queen’s done!”
So will the door stay permanently like the Union Jack flag?
“As much as I love it and how it’s turned out I can’t rule out a change in the future…”
We can’t wait to see what door Jack might reveal next. Check out Jack’s Instagram and website here.
