The curtain has fallen on the final Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta in York.
A spectacular music and fireworks finale brought the event to an end last night (Sunday).
More than 55,000 people went to the three day event on Knavesmire. Because of a clash with a race meeting next year it will move out of the city next year.
Organisers are planning to move it to a new location in North Yorkshire next year, yet to be disclosed.
The windy weather prevented some of the later balloon launches, but the hugely popular night glow went ahead. And the event won rave reviews from visitors.
Stars including Gabrielle, Heather Small, BoyzLife and Scouting For Girls blew the roof off the stage, hosted by YorkMix Radio. Craig Charles and Howard Donald hit the decks to keep the party vibes pumping.
Visits by the Gruffalo and Duggee, a huge funfair and food and drink from many favourite Yorkshire producers added to the family fun.
Thousands were raised for the three chosen charities too – St Leonard’s Hospice, York Rescue Boat and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The fiesta organisers said: “Thank you for supporting these charities and making this a fantastic weekend. We could not have done this without you!
“Thank you to our pilots, our flight director, our hard-working staff, our hosts at YorkMix, our volunteers and absolutely everyone working behind the scenes to make this event epic.
“As you may be aware, this is our final year at York Knavesmire, but all information regarding next year’s event will be posted to this page in the near future.”
