Footage has emerged showing how a car careered out of control moments before it hit and wrecked a York house.
The video was captured on CCTV from a camera on a neighbour’s house.
It shows the car, a Jaguar iPace, manoeuvring into a parking space on Sowerby Road, Holgate, at 11.11am today (Friday).

Then, for some reason, the car suddenly accelerates. And as the driver steers it to miss a parked car, it swerves across the opposite pavement and out of frame.
A loud bang is heard when it crashed into the bungalow, wrecking both the Jaguar and the front of the home.
We reported the crash on YorkMix earlier today:

The kitchen wall is totally destroyed. Fortunately the man who lived in the bungalow had just left the kitchen after making himself a drink.
The driver of the car suffered cuts to her face. The man in the house wasn’t hurt. Neither were taken to hospital.
The neighbour, who didn’t want to be named, told YorkMix what happened.
“The lady was trying to park next to my car, and then all of a sudden, she just sped off really fast.
“I didn’t see it, but heard a big bang. I went outside and saw what happened – she’d crashed into the bungalow.”
The neighbour said it was miraculous no one was badly hurt.
She said the driver “had a bleeding nose and a little cut on her head. She said her chest hurt, but apart from that she was fine, luckily.”
As for the occupant of the bungalow, “he was actually in the living room, he’d apparently just made a cup of tea in the kitchen. Obviously, the car’s gone straight into the kitchen, so it’s very, very lucky.”
