Police have released CCTV of burglars as they committed crimes which left York families ‘devastated’.
Although those in the video are masked, North Yorkshire Police are hoping that people will recognise features that can help identify the offenders.
They are investigating a series of eight burglaries and attempted burglaries that took place earlier this year at homes in York and Leeds – specifically the YO8 and LS25 postcode areas
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
The CCTV footage here, and the picture below, show a number of people we would like to trace as we believe they will have important information that can assist our investigation.
We appreciate that the people in the footage are covering their faces but we’re hoping that something may stand out to someone, such as the items of clothing that they’re wearing or other identifying features, that may lead to them being recognised.
These are serious crimes which have left families in our region devastated and we will do everything we can to bring those responsible to justice.
