A cyclist was badly hurt after being hit by a car, a moment caught by CCTV cameras at a busy York junction.
Footage just released by police shows the crash at the junction between Clifton and Water Lane.
It happened at 6.45am on Thursday 7 December. Police have already issued an appeal about the incident, but today released the footage.

It shows the cyclist riding along Clifton. A car then turns onto Water Lane, ploughing into the bike and knocking the rider across the bonnet and onto the asphalt.
The woman was left with serious facial injuries and needed hospital treatment.
The car stopped momentarily before driving off up Water Lane. Witnesses described it as a small blue car.
Traffic Constable Mark Davey of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group said: “The cyclist sustained serious injuries following the collision and we are committed to doing all that we can to establish exactly what took place.
“I’m hopeful that by releasing the CCTV footage this will encourage any witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage that has not already spoken to us to come forward.”
