Five people were hurt and two men arrested after a violent disturbance which stopped traffic in York city centre.
It involved a large group of men and women and started on Davygate at 1.45am on Sunday before moving to Shambles Market.
At least five people – three men and two women, all from York – suffered a range of injuries during the incident.

From this group, a 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old man will require ongoing treatment for ankle and facial fractures.
Two men, both aged 20 and from York, have been arrested in connection with the investigation and released while enquiries continue.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for information and dashcam footage from the start of the incident on Davygate.
“Several vehicles were forced to stop, and one person got out of a car to assist someone on the floor. There were also a number of witnesses around watching the incident.
“At the Shambles Market, there were a number of witnesses who informed the police that there had just been a large fight and the offenders had run off.”
