TV star Gregg Wallace has been in town these last couple of days – and he’s been having a lot of fun.

The Masterchef judge is filming an episode of Gregg Wallace’s Fun Weekend in York for on Channel 5.

The series is due to be broadcast in eight episodes from March and he’s been staying in the city.

He inevitably ended up down Shambles, and met with York’s Town Crier Ben Fry – even having a go at ringing his bell.

And last night he headed to historic pub the Guy Fawkes Inn on High Petergate – and came up with a great gag:

Had @GreggAWallace filming at the #GuyFawkesInn #York tonight for a TV show coming out next year. Very, very funny chap and a true gentleman who is as nice in the flesh as on TV ????. He loved our famous pie ???? and His on the spot joke did make me laugh ???? ???? pic.twitter.com/WyzQLRwspJ

Gregg also visited the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall. And he called in on the York Roast Co on Low Petergate, meeting owner Wayne Chadwick.

“He was chatting to us about our business. We were sworn to secrecy!” Wayne said.

“He’s a really lovely guy.”

Look who we have had to visit!
