It’s been one of those weekend for the owner of this cabin cruiser.
On Friday night it had to be rescued after it was adrift in the river Ouse.
This morning Fire crews returned as it was in danger of capsizing at a mooring by Millennium Bridge. There is a footpath and concrete ledge which is usally the edge of the river but because of flooding it was underwater. Then overnight river levels fell back nearly tipping the small boat over.
Following that, this afternoon it suffered engine failure and got stuck on the opposite bank.

This afternoon (Sunday) the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue boat and volunteers with York Rescue Boat arrived to help again after problems with the engine.
The cabin cruiser had struggled across the swollen river and ended up in bushes.
It seemed like it might be stuck but with a tow rope attached it was pulled off the bank and taken down to the Foss Basin where hopefully it will remain safe while it is fixed.
You can see what happened on Friday night in this YorkMix story.
