Police divers were conducting a search of the river in York city centre again today (Thursday) as a missing persons operation continued.
Nick Gunnell, 55, was last seen around 11.20am on Tuesday morning (30 June) at his home address on Holgate Road in York.
Police say they are very concerned for his welfare.
An underwater search unit were stationed close to Lendal Bridge.
Two divers were going into the Ouse, supported by a police boat.
York Rescue Boat was also involved in the search.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information about Mr Gunnell’s whereabouts to get in touch.
He is
- over 6ft tall
- of slim build
- with short, cropped grey hair.
Police now believe he may be wearing dark blue jeans, a blue V-neck jumper, blue lightweight quilted jacket and blue shoes with a white sole.
He is possibly wearing a baseball cap with a Leeds logo.
