It’s as if they’ve waved a magic wand.
But the sudden doubling in size of the original Shambles Harry Potter shop actually took a lot of planning and hard work.
The Shop That Must Not Be Named opened on the ancient street in May 2017.
The brainchild of Adam Rodway, who also owns Fossgate gift shop Give The Dog A Bone, it was an instant hit, drawing so many Potter fans that they queued to get in.
Last week it closed for two day while it expanded into the shop next door.
This means there’s twice as much merch from the Potterverse for all us muggles to get our hands on. There are even 60 types of wand – every one that’s available.
And new disabled access has also been added, and extra gifts from whichever Hogwarts house you belong to.
It’s the perfect spot for a spell of shopping…
