A woman has been airlifted to hospital after being hurt in an accident at one of York’s main car parks.
The accident happened shortly before 8.30am on Wednesday (January 6) at the Castle Car Park.
The injured woman was a pedestrian. She was in collision with a white Vauxhall Antara.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene. Police closed the car park while ambulance crews tended to the woman’s injuries.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance then took the woman to hospital.
Police said that the extent of the woman’s injuries are not yet known. The car park has been reopened.
