Here’s a first tour of the YO1 Beach Club.
Bringing a taste of the Med – or a bit of Brid, depending on your viewpoint – to the heart of the city, the club boasts deckchairs, a kiosk, food and drink – and lots of sand.
York town crier Ben Fry declared the new attraction open at midday today (Thursday) – and lots of families spent the day enjoying hanging out on a beach just yards from the River Ouse.
