Vandals set fire to toilets in York park
Arsonists set fire to two toilets in a York park last night (Saturday).
Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in the public toilets in Rowntree Park at 5.57pm.
The North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service reported: “A fire had occurred, one in the males and one in the females.
“The cause of the fires were deliberate. Both fires caused minor damage and were out on arrival of crews.”
It is the second act of vandalism at the park in a matter of months. In May, paint was daubed over the war memorial.
