Two vehicles were seized in a police crackdown last night (Friday).
It comes as an operation to identify drivers with no insurance, and take them off the roads.
A van was stopped on the A64 near York. Sgt Paul Cording of the roads policing team posted on X: “Checks show the driver was disqualified & therefore had no insurance either. Driver reported & vehicle seized.”
Earlier a Range Rover was pulled over by officers.
Sgt Cording said: “This vehicle was stopped in York along with ARV & Dog Section colleagues & enquiries showed the driver had neither a full driving licence, nor insurance. Vehicle seized.”
