The village of Elvington near York will no longer move its polling station for a comedy night booking – instead they will share the same venue.
Comedian Tez Ilyas will headline the latest Elvington Comedy Evening, taking place on Thursday 4 July at Elvington Village Hall – of course, the same date as the general election.
Though it had been previously announced that the village would move its polling station to the local pub, it has since been confirmed that it will still take place at the Elvington Village Hall, just in a different room to the comedy night.
Tez is best known for his appearances on a A Man Like Mobeen as well as hosting BBC’s Live At The Apollo.
He is joined by South Shields comedian Carl Hutchinson, improv duo The Halls Of Ridiculous, and MC Rob Riley.
Tickets are £15 and are available online here. Tickets are going fast – so book quickly to avoid missing out!
