Updated: Police appeal for witnesses after car and motorbike crash in York
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called out after a crash in York.
It happened on Leeside, Dringhouses, at about 7.30pm on Saturday (18 February).
A Yamaha motorcycle and a Fiat 500 car collided.
The car suffered a damaged front, and the motorbike came to rest some distance away.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received an emergency call just before 7.30pm on Saturday evening to a report of a collision involving a car and motorbike on Leeside in York.
“A number of resources were dispatched to the scene including two ambulances and an air ambulance.
“Two patients were conveyed by road, one to Leeds General Infirmary and the other to York Hospital.”
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Both the rider and the driver required treatment in hospital following the collision.
“The road was closed for a period of time to allow officers to conduct investigation work.
“Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who recalls seeing either vehicle prior to the collision to get in touch.
“In particular, officers are appealing for anyone that may have dashcam footage which shows the collision to come forward.”
