A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Selby responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision where the vehicle left the road and ended in a ditch as a result of the driver experiencing a medical episode.

“Crews removed one door from the vehicle to enable the female casualty to walk out of the vehicle. The casualty was transported to hospital via road ambulance.”
